In 2005, Chung Yuan Christian University established the Department of Finance to meet the global demand for financial professionals. The department is committed to cultivating finance experts who are both professionally competent and ethically grounded. With a strong faculty team and robust academic and technological resources, the department has built a solid foundation.
Each academic year, the department hosts an intercollegiate investment simulation competition to help students develop sound investment and financial planning concepts, enhancing the professionalism of future financial talent in Taiwan.
The department actively engages in academic and industry collaboration projects, working to address challenges faced by financial institutions both domestically and internationally, and contributing to the vision of sustainable finance.
The department was established in 1976 and has since produced over 5,000 alumni around the world. The College of Business earned AACSB international accreditation in 2015 and was re-accredited in 2021. Students have many opportunities for overseas exchange, and around 20% of the department’s students are international or overseas Chinese, creating a diverse and global learning environment.
