The Department of Electronics at Chung Yuan Christian University was established in 1966, making it one of the earliest electronics departments in Taiwan. With a strong alumni network across the globe, the department is widely recognized for both its teaching and research excellence.

We offer an ideal learning environment, with a curriculum that covers fundamental knowledge in electrical and electronic engineering, while continuously adapting to future industry trends. Emphasis is placed on cultivating professional expertise in electronics to align with national industrial development.

Our teaching approach balances theoretical foundations and practical applications. Hands-on training is a key focus, with capstone projects being a required part of the curriculum. An annual project exhibition showcases student achievements, and students are encouraged to participate in domestic and international competitions. We also actively pursue industry-academic collaboration.

In line with national development goals and educational objectives, the department’s teaching and research efforts are focused on four main areas:

  1. Semiconductors
  2. Chip Design
  3. Communication Systems
  4. Artificial Intelligence
