With the rapid growth of the economy, financial and economic law has also evolved significantly, leading to an increase in related disputes and litigation. To meet societal needs, the Department of Financial and Economic Law was established in 1991 under the College of Business, becoming the first department of its kind in Taiwan. The department began with a single class in its first year and expanded to two classes in 1992.
In August 1995, a Master’s Program was launched. In 2001, a second Master’s Track (Group B) and an In-Service Master’s Program (Executive Master’s) were introduced. On August 1, 2005, the College of Law was established, and the department became part of this newly formed college.
The Master’s Program offers two tracks:
Courses are divided into Law and Non-Law streams. The Master’s Group B and the Non-Law Track of the Executive Program are specifically designed for students without a legal academic background.
